Entirely dressed in blue, the new Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar in 41 mm presents for the first time a case and bracelet fully crafted in blue ceramic. Audemars Piguet’s Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar in Blue Ceramic, Ref. 26579CS.OO.1225CS.01 is one of the most technically demanding QPs the brand has ever produced. The full blue ceramic construction includes the case, bezel, and bracelet, each finished with the same brushed and polished transitions that define the Royal Oak. The result is a visually striking piece that maintains AP’s signature geometry while offering the durability and scratch resistance that ceramic is known for.
The watch measures 41mm and remains under 10mm thick, powered by the ultra-thin automatic Caliber 5134. The movement displays day, date, month, leap year, week number, and moon phase in the classic four-subdial layout. A sapphire caseback reveals the rotor and finishing, and the movement’s architecture keeps the QP slimmer than most perpetual calendars on the market.
The blue “Grande Tapisserie” dial pairs cleanly with the ceramic case, and the white-gold hour markers maintain legibility. The ceramic bracelet is lightweight, comfortable, and maintains the crisp finishing that sets AP bracelets apart. Despite its color and material, the watch wears very similarly to the steel QP in terms of size and balance.
